Snowicane 2010

I have been begging for a snow storm all winter...well we finally got it. This one was tagged Snowicane, although we never got the winds, we certainly got the snow! The kids had a great time in the snow..

Round 1 of shoveling was around 3 on Thursday afternoon. We had about 8 inches at that point and it was still coming down fast and hard. Maya wanted to "help" and Matthew loved the snow.

Around 8 that night, Round 2 of shoveling was taking place. There was a lot more snow and again Maya was out helping Scott.

This is a different pile of snow, but it is bigger than her!

Around 1:30 a.m., we lost power and boy was it cold in our house. We were all wearing hats to stay warm.

Round 3 of shoveling started around 11:00 on Friday. We had close to 2 feet of snow and no power. There was so much snow, we had no idea where to put all of it.

Here are the kids sitting on the snow bank (this is the same one from earlier in the post).

Matthew dumped in the snow...he wouldn't go down all of the way and it probably would have been over his head!

Maya on the huge snow pile!

Look at all of this snow!
Around 5:00 our power came back on. We all survived the Snowicane of 2010!
