Over the weekend, NY got hammered by Hurricane Irene. Our immediate area (meaning town) didn't get hit that hard, but many of the surrounding areas are flooded beyond disbelief! We had a ton of rain and some high winds. We have had a lot of rain already, so our ground was pretty saturated, which is the culprit of the flooding. As it was winding down, I wanted to be the cool mom and take the kids out in hurricane! They thought it was the coolest thing ever! Matthew kept saying "This fun!"

We had some minor basement flooding and our chimney leaked a bit, but we got out of it pretty easily!
